INFORMATION ON THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA – VIDEO SURVEILLANCE

The data controller of the personal data collected through the video surveillance system is

Purpose of the processing
Personal data (video images) are collected through the video surveillance system for the sole purpose of:
• prevent, detect and document events such as theft, vandalism or other unlawful behavior;
• protect the safety of people and property within the store.
The legal basis for processing is the data controller's legitimate interest in ensuring the safety of customers, staff, and company assets.
Data processing methods
Personal data is processed using electronic means (camera systems) with logic strictly related to the purposes indicated above, adopting appropriate technical and organizational measures to guarantee the security and confidentiality of the data.
Type of data processed
The data processed are video images that may contain the identification of individuals accessing or staying in video-monitored areas. No audio or other biometric data is collected.
Scope of recovery
Surveillance areas are marked with appropriate signage. Cameras are positioned to capture only the areas relevant to the protection of property and people (e.g., the sales area and entrance). Changing rooms or private restrooms are not filmed.
Image retention period
Recorded images are stored for a maximum period of 48 hours , except for specific documented needs (for example for judicial activities or at the request of law enforcement).
Scope of data communication
Images and data may be made available exclusively:
• of the data controller and authorised personnel;
• external parties (e.g. law enforcement agencies, judicial authorities), when required by law or in the event of an investigation into relevant facts.
No disclosure of data to unauthorized parties is foreseen.
Rights of the interested party
Pursuant to Articles 15-22 of the GDPR, data subjects may exercise the rights to:
• access to your data;
• rectification or cancellation;
• limitation of processing;
• opposition to processing for legitimate reasons;
• lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Authority.
